Belgian Waffles recipe
Ingredients:
4 medium eggs, separated.
1 packet of yeast, dry.
2 ½ cup of flour.
2 cups of milk, lukewarm.
½ cup of melted butter.
1 tablespoon of sugar.
1 teaspoon of vanilla.
½ teaspoon of salt.
Directions:
Sprinkle the dry yeast over the lukewarm milk; stirring to dissolve.
Beat the egg yolks and add to yeast mixture with the vanilla.
Sift together the flour, sugar and salt, then add to the liquid ingredients.
Stir in the melted butter and combine thoroughly.
Beat the egg whites until stiff, then fold into the mixture.
Allow to stand for about 45 mins until the mixture doubles in bulk.
Use about 1 cup of the mixture per waffle.
